Why I do Aikido

We asked our junior students to tell us why they like doing aikido. Here are their answers:

I do Aikido because it is a fun and logical way to learn to defend yourself.

I do Aikido because it is a lot of fun and it is and an exciting way to exercise.

I do Aikido to defend myself if I have to and also to keep in shape.

The reason I do Aikido is because it’s fun and I can learn self-defence.

I find Aikido fun and it’s a good way to calm yourself down plus it helps your reflexes develop.

I do Aikido because I feel part of a community. It gives me confidence. It’s not a competitive martial art and it makes you street wise to keep you safe if anything does happen.

I do Aikido because it is a fun, team sport that helps your fitness and confidence. There are lots of great people and it's a good way to have fun and defend yourself.

I do Aikido so I can defend myself.
